Oh what an amazing feeling
In the spirit of celebrating the good stuff in life, I wanted to pass along some good news I got this morning. I was just informed that my very first industry-based published article is now live. It is for an online newspaper with an exclusive focus on higher education called The Evolllution. They have 60,000 monthly visitors and work with more than 1,000 contributors who are college deans, state system presidents, AVPs, vice provosts, directors, and industry experts. Among these contributors are WSU’s own Dave Cillay (new Vice Chancellor of Global Campus) and Cheryl Oliver (Associate Dean for online programs in Carson College), as well as Murrow alumnus Al Powell, Director of Learning Technologies at Colorado State University. The topic is onboarding and providing sustainable support of faculty and instructors who only teach online courses vs. those who teach both online and on-site courses – acknowledging the different needs, motivations, and level of support required for these different types of instructors.
