Role: Speaker
This session focused on creating and cultivating your online presence as a complement to conference participation and publishing credits.
I discussed setting up a professional online portfolio and social media presence to maximize visibility and impact.

Role: Panelist
Session explored eService-Learning best practices and insights from faculty who have experience teaching online courses with both virtual/remote and in-person engagement opportunities.

Role: Speaker
The topics were built around the 7C’s of effective online communication conceptualized by author and online education specialist Dr. Melissa Veneable, College of Charleston. My goal was to add value by discussing how Global students could set themselves up for success in the virtual communication space.

Role: Instructor
15-week course providing faculty with real-time coaching and guidance in best practices for designing and delivering online courses. Key themes included instructional design principles for online course delivery, student engagement strategies and techniques, and building community in the virtual space.

Role: Panel Moderator
Change requires everyone involved to adapt. This webinar featured myself, Lance Lijewski, Media Director of The Coug and The Land, and Rachel Rhomberg, Account Executive at Amazon Advertising. We discussed their career transformation experiences and discuss ways to be more reactive than resistant to change.

Role: Training Facilitator
With continued mandates for social distancing, online course delivery, and virtual meetings, it is important that WiSE faculty, postdocs, and students embrace technology and practices for online interpersonal communication. Through this training, participants gained confidence in hosting and attending meetings.
